A view of the course. The Royal Westmoreland Golf Club is universally agreed to offer some of the best par three golf anywhere, but the opportunities to test that claim are restricted. Situated on the rolling hills of an exclusive gated community, the greens were developed for the express use of real estate owners, their guests and the occasional international championship.

Should you secure an invite to this elegant development, be sure to try a game on the course. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Royal Westmoreland's world-class 18-hole golf course. Jones believes it to be one of the finest, most challenging and most rewarding he has ever created. It is a superb 6870 yard par 72 course of unrivalled beauty, and every hole has a view of the glittering ocean. All of the short par three holes have elevated tees and demand cool nerves and accuracy. A short shot on the 7th will land your ball in the lake and pulling punches on the 3rd, 12th The Royal Westmoreland Clubhouse.and 15th send the hopes of golfers into deep gullies. Lush palm groves fringe the fairways and a small freshwater lake lies at the centre of the property. Opened in 1995, the parkland has matured into an elegantly landscaped and manicured golf nirvana.

The resort has gained a reputation as the destination of choice for the rich and famous. Hugh Grant has played here, and master champion Ian Woosman owns a home. The PGA Senior’s Event is the gala occasion for the course and has attracted such luminaries as his Royal Highness the Duke of York, soccer celebrity Vinny Jones and Garry Lineker. The glitzy occasion garners a significant amount of media attention and always supports the island with generous charity events and contributions.
