Barbados Blue Watersports
The only facility on-island with a professional staff that includes on-staff Marine Biologists to take you snorkeling over shipwrecks, swimming with the sea turtles, hand feeding fish over beautiful coral reefs, jet skiing along the south coast or kayaking. You can also learn to scuba dive by PADI certified instructors.
Reefers & Wreckers
The most northerly dive shop, offering access to the unspoiled reefs in northern Barbados—definite favorites among locals and visitors. They also make regular visits to the wrecks of the Stavronikita, Pamir and Carlisle Bay. Diving is offered in small groups and instructors are PADI certified.
Hightide Watersports
A well-run, fully staffed facility with PADI qualified master instructor, divemasters and instructors offering flexible personalized service and catering to small groups. They have a comfortable 37ft fully covered catamaran and a 32ft Monohull dive boat. Two-tank morning dives and a single tank dive in the afternoon visiting dive sites along the west coast. Drift dives, reef, wreck and night dives are available.
Thriller Ocean Tours
This 4-hr Powerboat Adventure Tour offers a high-speed ride aboard a 35ft Scarab off-shore powerboat and affords you the opportunity to swim and snorkel with the endangered sea turtles, snorkel on a vibrant coral reef with schools of colorful tropical fish and explore the shallow ship wrecks of historic Carlisle Bay. The tour accommodates a maximum of 14 passengers, and transportation, snorkeling gear, lunch and refreshments are included.
Surf Barbados Mobile Surf Lessons
Top local surfer, Barry Banfield recommends the 3-day/6-hr course, which generally puts you on the fast track to intermediate level. For those who want to “test the waters” first, Barry also offers 1-day/2-hr courses where you can learn the basics and advance accordingly. Surfboard, rash vest and bottle water provided. Maximum 4 persons per instructor.
Zed’s Surfing Adventures
Offering a range of surfing lessons for the beginner, designed to teach all the basics of surfing, as well as surfing tours for the more advanced surfer. They are considered one of the best spots for surf lessons and are equipped with a wide range of soft surfboards, ranging from 6ft. to 10ft. Lesson times are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
