Bridgetown Cruise Terminal The Cruise Terminal provides the following services for the use of cruise passengers and crew members:• Barbados Tourism Authority Information Office: A visit to the BTA Information Office can offer useful advice on any aspect of your day, from the cost of bus fare, to information on the "must-see" attractions of our island. • Telecommunications center: Visitors can easily phone home or send a fax or email and the air-conditioned center is staffed by multilingual hosts who ensure that visitors receive any necessary assistance. There is a capacity for approximately 50 telephone units including card phones, regular coin phones and special units that allow visitors to access USA Direct and use their credit cards. In-Terminal Internet Café: Internet access is provided at the telecommunications center.
• Banking Facilities: No banking facilities are available at the Cruise Terminal. The nearest ATM and banking facilities can be found in Bridgetown, which is about one mile from the Cruise Terminal.
• Post Office: The Barbados Postal service branch provides mail services to all areas of the world. Stamps can also be purchased here.
• Duty-free Shops and Carts: Over 20 large duty-free shops and 16 colorful pushcarts offer a range of items, including jewelery and watches, fine china and crystal, electronic goods and perfumes, and handicrafts and baked goods. Shop in air-conditioned comfort as you purchase tax-free merchandise, at prices typically 30% to 50% less than in Europe and North America.
| | Transport Rental cars are available for cruise passengers just outside the terminal entrance. For those on pre-booked or organized tours, a special departures area with numbered gates has made it easy to find your tour group. The bus system in Barbados is also convenient and can be picked up in Bridgetown, a 15-minute walk from the terminal.
Immigration Visitors coming to Barbados should provide proof of adequate means of support for the duration of their stay to the satisfaction of the Immigration officer at the port of entry. Persons remaining on board the ship or only leaving it for a few hours, may not be inspected by the Immigration Officer. Persons not returning to their ship after entering Barbados must complete an Immigration card and present it, along with their travel documents, to the Immigration Officer on board the ship. Departure It is no longer necessary to be processed by Immigration when departing Barbados; Immigration cards should be handed in at the ticket desk. All persons departing Barbados must pay a departure tax of BDS$25.
