Barbados boasts five world-class polo fields
First played in Barbados by British Army Officers at their Garrison Savannah headquarters in 1884, and soon taken up by Barbadians, polo has evolved into one of the island’s most exciting and keenly followed sports. Five world-class polo fields at Apes Hill Club, Holders Hill, Lion Castle, Clifton and Buttals, along with a busy calendar of competitions, attract some of the world’s best teams and players each year. The 2017 season will run from January to May inclusive and the 2017/18 season will commence in December 2017.
