When you include your pets in your Barbados vacation, you want to be sure that they are cared for and loved even when you’re not around to keep an eye on them. Although not everywhere you choose to stay provides pet care facilities, those that do, offer a comfy home away from home for your feline or canine companions. Knowing that they will be in good hands gives you the freedom to do whatever tickles your fancy, certain that they too will be enjoying their tropical getaway under the watchful eyes of pet lovers just like you. But before you complete your travel and accommodation plans, check to make sure what facilities are available and what arrangements can be made for them.
New regulations for bringing dogs and cats into Barbados came into effect from January 1st 2015. The changes mean that you can now bring your pet from any country in the world – provided you follow the new simplified regulations. Read more here.
Your pet must meet all the health requirements in the import conditions. Here are some points to note:
1. Regardless of country of origin, if your pet is travelling by a commercial airline, it must arrive in Barbados as manifested cargo.
