Vowing to the motto: "To protect, serve and reassure", the Royal Barbados Police Force is charged with the responsibility of upholding the local laws of Barbados as set forth by the Barbadian Government. To this end, the RBPF has earned the reputation as being one of the most highly trained and professional police forces in the Caribbean.
The Headquarters for the RBPF resides in Bridgetown, St. Michael. Additionally, 15 District Police Stations are located throughout Barbados to serve the island's 11 parishes.

As a visitor to Barbados, please note that there are severe penalties for drug offences including possession and distribution of illegal narcotics. Also, be aware that it is against the law for anyone, even children, to dress in camouflage clothing or carry items made with camouflage material.
