Barbados Rugby International Rugby Sevens

The Rugby Barbados World 7s is the latest edition of the longest running Club Rugby Sevens tournament in the Caribbean.
Previously known as the Tobago 7s,

The event has its roots in Trinidad, where it started over 29 years ago. The teams that have attended the tournament in the past include multiple winners Border Rievers (Scotland), Atlantis (USA), Rugby West Indies (Caribbean), Howlers (Canada), Rugby Ecosse (Scotland), and Arongatahi (New Zealand).

The tournament moves to Barbados for the first time in December 2016, and is scheduled for the weekend after the Run Barbados Marathon and 10 K international race, so you can "Come for the Run, Stay for the Rum, and Revel in the Rugby!"

The organizers have decided to expand the tournament to include U-20 Men's and Women's divisions that will feature 8 teams each, in addition to the 12-team Senior men's and Women's Open divisions.

A packed schedule of events will be on the cards, which will include the traditional Christmas carol singing, community service projects, Segway Polo and Segway racing!
