The round-the-island main road sportive will be held on the final day. It will offer cyclists the opportunity to sign up to one of two ‘round the island’ courses - The Gold Course (95km) or the Silver Course (63km). For the faster cyclists - the Gold Course will carry a minimum of US$7,000 prize purse, as well as two complimentary return flights to the first man and woman who complete the course (1st place: US$2,000 plus flights, 2nd place: US$1,000 and 3rd place: US$500).
The Gold Course will start in Bridgetown and will take competitors in an anti-clockwise direction around the perimeter of the whole island. It will expose riders to the dramatic coastal views of Cattlewash, the lush greenery of St John’s parish, and often-missed small towns and villages.
The Silver Course may be just more than half the size of the ‘Gold Course’, but it has been carefully plotted so that cyclists will still experience stunning scenic views at every turn. Those who choose not to take part in the cycling will not miss out on the celebration spirit as music and entertainment will take place post race on the beach front.
Cost to enter the Sportive for non-residents:
- Gold route US$75.00 (as a resident US$40.00)
- Silver route is US$65.00 (as a resident US$35.00)
- Silver course for those under 16 yrs of age $20.00
